Miss Korea 2008

i knew it would take another 2,3,4,5, … probably 10 yrs before another Honey Lee comes out to represent represent corea! but this year’s miss korea definitely must have been chosen for her personality and not her looks. that’s a good trend to place brains over beauty, but c’mon this is still a beauty pageant… *sigh* (how can this face belong to a 22 year old-she looks more like misseseuh ajooma korea)

the winner of the 2008 miss korea pageant was announced today to be 나리 (pronounced na- ri)- formerly Miss Korea Seoul Sun, 168cm (5′6) – 22 yrs old who is currently taking a break from Yonsei University (junior). her win is highlighted because she broke the general tradition and usurped Miss Korean Seoul Jin 장윤희 (jang yoon hee) (who placed Miss Korea Mi – 2nd runner up) for the 2008 crown.

i personally think korea would have had a better chance in the miss universe pageant with jang yoon hee. g’luck to them all and congrats!
